Joy of the Day, Day 33: Sounds of South Beach

Ten-part bird symphony, woodpecker on percussion, Basketball bouncing on the driveway, Sea lions barking at each other, vying with their voices for turf on a favorite red buoy, Ferry motor humming, Rain, first loud, then quiet, then gone, Wind picking up where the rain left off, churning the Sound into a rhythmic chop, and Creak of slender second-growth evergreens, whose swaying sounds like an old rocking chair.

Today, the familiar sounds outside my house are my joy. #joyinplace
